But one place that remains dear to me, is the Four seasons, Bosphorous, the team after many a while being away, remembered me, and I am a person of detail, before the chauffeur could even open up my door, the Valet was there first, with a smile on his face. In my previous comment that I have left for the hotel, I had stated that I have stayed all over Istanbul as I traveled the world extensively. Istanbul is full of scams anyway and the FS should be above such things.… ![]() The words ”you must give me money” by the driver were absolutely out of place and made me feel unsafe. If there is a legal obligation (and not just a social custom) for the guest to pay the driver, they should clearly say so. I find it hard to believe that the EUR 200.00 this hotel charges for airport transfer includes only the fuel and mileage and not the actual driving of the car as well. Tipping is of course all right but outright lying never. I was about to hand the driver a tip anyway, and did so. You must give me money, a tip”. For departure, I booked a private transfer to the airport through the concierge. However, I must complain, as I did to the hotel management as well. The room was nice and spacious, the food acceptable, sometimes delicious even, and the service mostly attentive, though not completely without hiccups.
